Neighbourhood Watch Joins Forces to Celebrate “Silver is Gold”

Neighbourhood Watch partnered with ACT Policing in manning a stall at the ‘Silver is Gold’ Seniors Expo at the EPIC showgrounds in late May.

As NHW ACT President, Laurie Blackall, noted: “It has been a busy 2022 so far but we have achieved significant positive exposure for NHW through our attendance at a wide range of events.”

COTA (Council on the Ageing) ACT hosted the Seniors Expo at EPIC with over 200 stall holders from community groups and businesses providing information on their services available to seniors.

The combined ACT Policing/ NHWACT stall proved popular with a steady stream of visitors stopping by to discuss how they can improve their personal and community safety and security.

COTA will host another “Silver is Gold” Veterans and Seniors Expo at EPIC on 28 September 2022.  Keep the date in your calendar and drop by to talk with us.
