OPPORTUNITIES TO VOLUNTEER WITH NHWACT
ACTNHW is seeking volunteers, either from within the organisation or external to it, to assist in a range of areas.
We have recently contacted a number of institutions seeking volunteers for the roles described below.

Volunteering is a great way to gain experience in a field that interst you or to develop or consolidate skills required in the workforce.
Roles available include:
• Marketing (to assist us with creating, coordinating, promoting, and hosting a variety of public events)
ACTNHW holds a number of member events each year and attends a variety of community events. The organisation has embarked on a challenging transition to better align with emerging technologies, particularly in the social media and broader communication space, while also maintaining connection with our traditional membership base.
• Law (to assist us to update our constitution)
• IT (to assist with the ongoing management of our website, social media sites and IT capability)
o The Board operates with a number of Dell laptops for the executive team.
o The role includes recommendations to the Board about periodically refreshing the suite of laptops, set up of new equipment and managing levels of access for individual users and support from time to time.
o The organisation’s website and Facebook page require monitoring and regular updates.
The roles require liaison with Board members and the Executive but there is no requirement to attend Board meetings.
